DESCRIPTION/BESCHREIBUNG: Was brauchen deine Nutzer? Wie kannst du das herausfinden? Und was machst du, wenn die Forschung mal anders läuft als im Lehrbuch geschrieben? Wir tausche unsere Ideen, Methoden und Erfahrungen aus um voneinander zu lernen. | How do you find out what your users need? Which approach would you use to find out? And how are you going to navigate the messy reality of research? We exchange our ideas, methods and experiences in user research.

TOPICS/THEMEN: User Research, Applied Ethnography, Service Design, Design Anthropology, Interviewing and Observation, Needfinding…

LANGUAGE/SPRACHE Talks können auf Englisch oder Deutsch gehalten werden. If speakers are more comfortable in German, talks will be in German. If lots of English speaking participants are there, we will try to ensure everyone understands. People can also give presentations in English.

NEXT EVENTS/KOMMENDE VERANSTALTUNGEN: Dieses Event soll in Zukunft  regelmäßig stattfinden. This event is planned to go on a regular schedule.

PARTICIPATE/ MACH MIT: If you want to give a talk or a small workshop, please contact me via Twitter or Mail (d_jan (at) ymail.com).
Our topics should be concerned with researching user needs via methods and paradigms listed in the topics above. We’d love to hear about our experiences and approaches. Examples and actionable methods are greatly appreciated and preferred much over big words and abstract principles: The meetup should enable us to learn from each other, try out ourself and deal with the messy and exiting reality of our research.
